Power crunch coming

“The Kansas chapter of the Sierra Club recently put out a news release that said in 2009, not one coal-burning [power] plant broke ground in the United States and 29 proposed projects were shelved.

“Among the coal plant cancellations, in many cases developers voluntarily walked away from coal plant projects citing financial risks to ratepayers and the uncertain future of coal with looming federal environmental regulations,” the group said.” “Coal plant nearing next step

    The Sierra Club should be the first to have the power cut when the crunch comes. We are in the "Age of Insanity."

    Obama on building new coal plants:<"I was the first to call for a 100% auction on the cap and trade system, which means that every unit of carbon or greenhouse gases emitted would be charged to the polluter. That will create a market in which whatever technologies are out there that are being presented, whatever power plants that are being built, that they would have to meet the rigors of that market and the ratcheted down caps that are being placed, imposed every year.>
